Hi, were Bing & Elle
We are two souls who feel more complete when we are together. This is why we’ve made working alongside each other a standard in our lifestyle. Scroll down if you’re curious to see what we’ve been up to in the past, or click on the portfolio link to see images of our completed projects.
BING
has had many walks of life, and no matter what career path he’s been on his artistic creativeness always finds a way of coming out.
Earlier in Life…Before we met
Construction:
Laborer
Mason
Painter
Landscaper
Wood/Lam. Floorer
Apiary:
Owned and operated 100-200 beehives for about 8 years in Northern California. Extracted honey and rented hives to farmers during pollination.
Fire Science:
On the Oregon Coast of Nestucca County I was a resident volunteer firefighter and also worked for the US Forest Service on an engine crew. I did that for 2 years before deciding to go back to school in order to pursue my ambition of sustaining a career as an artist.
Graphic Design:
While attending school I worked as a freelancer and also as a designer for the school paper, The Orion. Eventually I got the opportunity to work at a design studio, Dragon Graphics. After working there for a year I decided that I wanted to be more of an active artist and decided to take a job opportunity where I became the sole artistic director of a large grocery store chain in Northern CA called, North State Grocery, INC. While there I was also in charge of managing all of their social media platforms.
3D Design:
When I first attended school I studied construction management with an emphasis in 3D modeling. I advanced far in the program, but decided then I wanted to do something different. Nearly a decade later I ended up using that same knowledge, gained then, at a construction company where I specialized in patio designs with 2D/3D elements with minor engineering.
Elle
is both a mirror of her soulmate Bing and his compliment in a myriad of ways, all stemming from her similar artistic heart.
Music:
A student of music, both vocal and piano, since childhood I’ve had the honor of performing in selective ensembles over the years, but also deeply enjoy private moments of composition and expression.
Thespian:
My whole family is entangled in the theater, and it was a fantastic way to grow up. Though I have a soft spot for musicals, particularly classics, a variety of shows have consumed my focus as both actor and director. Most recent production include: Singin in the Rain, White Christmas, Chicago, and a smattering of Shakespeare.
Commission Artist:
Folks have hired me to execute artistic projects such as murals, paintings, sculptures, and screen prints. I love the variety of materials that are out there to work with.
Graphic Design:
During undergrad I started learning graphic arts and have used the Adobe creative suite extensively over the years to create ads, posters, banners, logos and web design elements. I’ve worked both in freelance and in art departments specializing in typography vector art, and copy design.

REcently in life…After we met
Naturalist Guide:
When Elisabeth and I made the big move to Alaska we first worked at remote lodges and did so for 3 seasons. We were guides that had many job titles and did everything from cooking to construction and everything in between. We worked at three different lodges before deciding to operate our own restaurant.
Restaurateur:
Elisabeth and I operated a small fine dining restaurant in a historic hotel called, Hotel Seward. We did everything, including advertising, web design, reservation management, menu design, literally everything and it was just the two of us! We were there for two years before making the big move to Juneau where we are now.
Bed & Breakfast Innkeeper:
What brought us here to Juneau was the opportunity to become the operators of Alaska’s Capital Inn, B&B. We’ve been rocking at that since November of 2022. Book a night here and have the best breakfast in town the following morning.
Dance Instructor:
We’ve each been recreationally partner dancing for nearly 20 years. I have a background in many styles just like Elle, but the two that we focus on are: Lindy Hop and Blues Fusion. I met Elisabeth through dance, and now that we are here in Juneau we find ourselves teaching a dance class at the local university. Sign up through the local University if you want to learn, or if you want a private lesson just ask.
